The Bucks Basketball Association are holding a Level 2 Basketball Referee course on Monday 2nd April and Tuesday 3rd April at Aylesbury Grammar School.  A practical session will also take place on 29 April, at the Bucks Basketball Leauge U18 Tournament at Aylesbury Grammar School, when candidates can put into practice what they have learnt.

The course will run from 9.30 am – 5pm each day, and will consist of both theory and practical sessions. There will be a theory test on the second day, as well as a short practical assessment for all candidates. Candidates will also need to attend the 29 April tournament to access the discounted fee charged for the course.  Succesful candidates will then need to complete three full length assessment matches within twelve months in order to pass the course and qualify as a Level 2 referee.

The course is open to everyone, with a recommended mininum age of 16. There is no requirement to hold a Level 1 qualification beforehand. The Level 2 qualification is ideal for those that want to begin refereeing local league junior and senior matches, as well as school and college games.

The course is being offered at the discounted rate of £50, members of the Bucks Hornets 6th Form Basketball Academy may also be eligible to attend for free.  The charge will be £70 for those not able to attend the 29 April tournament.

Please contact Steve Sharpe on clubadministrator@buckshornets.co.uk if you are interested in attending or woud like further details. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Deadline for entry is Sunday March 25th.
