DETAILS OF GRANTS
We do have a bursary available that the coaches can access to help pay for the cost of the courses. We actually have 2 and there is another one available through Aylesbury Vale District Council for anyone living within the district. More information is below:

1. Leap Coach Bursary
Coaches can access 75% of the cost of the course, up to a maximum of £200 for a level 1 and £250 for level 2. In return, they will need to deliver a small block of activity that must be 6-8 consecutive weeks. They must deliver to new participants to the sport and they have to be aged between 11-25.

2. Project 500
Project 500 is a programme that aims to reduce the imbalance of male to female coaches in sport. We want to provide female coaches with whatever support they need with their coaching. As part of this, we have a bursary that can be accessed. It will fund up to £100 for a level 1 and £200 for a level 2. In return, all they need to do is tell us what they plan to do once qualified and how it will impact on female participation in the sport. Even if you don’t apply for a bursary through this, I would recommend any female coaches registering on the programme as they will have access to a number of other benefits and free events. They can register at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/project500.

3. Aylesbury Vale District Council (if you are based within the district)
Coaches can apply to this bursary (AVSPAN) for up to £200 for a level 1 and £300 for a level 2. In return they simply need to explain what they will do once qualified.
